About my PhD research

I was recently awarded a PhD (by the College of Social Sciences and Law, UCD) in ethical heritage data practices, taking as a case study the Collections as Data (CaD) initiative.

In my thesis, I have been exploring how CaD principles can facilitate critical engagement with heritage data and eventually help tackle ethical concerns towards the interaction with AI systems.

Coding and working with LLMs are among my best assets. I am proficient with R and Python, and my expertise covers a broad range of technologies.

My original research area is archaeobotany (study of ancient plants), but I have extensive on-field experience in digital and community archaeology.

💠 Vectorial Graphics

It started as a hobby, and became a proper job through several opportunities; my web and graphic design abilities very often feed into my academic outputs.
